How CareBob uses cookies

Our public website doesn’t use cookies or tracking.
We don’t use analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, and browsing this site stores nothing on your device. That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner. The only cookies we use are strictly necessary ones, set when you sign in to CareBob.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies — like local storage or a browser database — also store information on your device. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and UK GDPR) lets a service use this storage without asking when it is strictly necessary to provide something you have asked for, such as signing you in. Anything else needs your consent first.
Cookies we set when you sign in
These are first-party cookies, used only by CareBob, and only once you sign in.

Other storage in the CareBob app
When you use the signed-in app — especially the carer app on a phone — CareBob stores a small amount of information on your device so it keeps working on a weak signal.

Error monitoring
If something goes wrong, the app sends us a technical error report so we can fix it. Error reporting does not use cookies, and personal information is removed before a report is sent.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies above, you won’t be able to sign in to CareBob.
Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce cookies that aren’t strictly necessary — for example analytics — we will ask for your consent before setting them and update this page first.
